![]() Admittedly I made the mistake of paying for packs for a few years. When you can find that you are more easily able to laugh off the bullshit the other teams pull or the game itself pulls and try to find ways to have fun despite that stuff. Your absolute best bet for an enjoyable experience playing EA NHL is to join an EASHL club with players who enjoy playing the game the same way as you do. Teammates who don't play their position and thus create opportunities for the opposing team. Teammates who don't pass and think they can beat the other team single handedly. Cheese shots and plays are generally consistent across all the different game modes in NHL 22, so the good news is if you can recognize them in HUT or versus you know what to look for already.īut if you play drop-in you are going to run into selfish players and trolls in most games. However, in CHEL you will run into a whole host of other problems depending on which mode you play. You get some leeway to tinker with your build a bit, but for the most part when you pick a player type you are locking in your play style. ![]() The game modes here are a bit more balanced where the different player classes are designed so your player is generally really good at one or two things, ok at a few others, and bad at the rest. So unless you use an all-star team yourself you will run into the same issue but luckily the solution for this one doesn't require opening your wallet. Your better bet for a level playing field would be regular online versus, but there you will almost always run up against players using all-star teams. I'm not exaggerating or being dramatic, the "Ultimate Team"-like modes in all video games where you open packs to get items, and can spend real money to get more packs, are all designed with the sole purpose of milking every player for as much additional money as possible. You unfortunately picked the mode that isn't designed to be fun, it's designed to frustrate you into spending money to be more competitive against other teams.
